I agree, with a catch.

I'd love for there to be a table that gave you a lot of information in a glance such as current hours flown in the last 7, whether said pilot is working right now and while showing available on the list today/tomorrow they're actually not really available. And some of the other pitfalls that leads a pilot to believe that because they're 4th or 5th down the line they're safe but in reality they're #1. I know, sometimes I come off a trip and notice some people have checked my schedule and I go back to look and see who they are and I can see in the daily coverage they were assigned trips and thought that I should've gotten them. It would be nice if all of that was a little easier to see in a glance.

It would help if it was clearer and simpler to understand but also we have to keep in mind we agreed to a complex system, see PWA 23M-O, designed to spread the wealth... or pain.

Also don't forget this clause in the PWA: A Crew Scheduler may deviate from the sequences under Section 23 N. or O. when, in his judgment, it is necessary to do so in order to maintain schedule integrity.

All I am saying is a simple reminder that what exists today and for the foreseeable future that getting close is enough to be called.
