The way understand it is:
UAL Furloughees were to start coming in after the CAL guys around the spring time. I don't know the exact number, but I thought I heard a couple hundred. This would have been determined after the system bid in 2011 (usually Jan). Now with the 787 delay, it has been pushed back. How far? Hard to say, but CAL delayed the 787 Australia flight 3-4 months, I think, and now Lagos will not be served by a 787 but a 777 initially...
I heard that once the 787 start coming in 2012, they will come fairly quickly, like 2 a month! So they want to have some staffing in place and be able to train the remaining pilots as the frames show up.
It seems the CAL 737 fleet is starting to be worked a little more and I don't think CAL will be properly staffed (

) with only the CAL recallers.
In short, we should see the crystal ball a little clearer around JAN 2011, when the next system bid comes out. But, I would estimate that there will be some UAL recalls in 2011.
