Can't imagine how he could have that opinion. I've been on the 747 fleet since 1997. The different color groups get along great and have for a number of years now.

The seniority list merged in 1989 if memory serves. Green book guys got on the 747 on the very first bid and have ever since. That's been 21 years. I sure wouldn't consider that "just getting on the 747."

Again, totally false. Almost all of the red book pilots are already on the airplane. The ones that aren't are senior enough, but they prefer the A330 and/or the 757. Therefore, there's nobody for them to block. The green book guys that are flying the 747 past retirement are doing so for the same reason that others do it. They love the airplane and they love the flying.
