The only difference is/was (no more metering positions being offered they say) is that metering guys would go even if no hiring was taking place. Under the new rules, it's just like any other move within FedEx.

After 2 years and you can place a JCF (Job Change Form) and move over to line flying....they have to be hiring pilots, you have to meet the mins, pass the interview, and not have any work related issues such as bad behavior.

Metering pros did a pilot interview when the interviewed as a pro...

Non Metering = 24 month commitment, then interview to be a pilot.

One is a bit more of a roll of the dice than the other.
