I concur Joel. The captain has the responsibility to deliver his passengers safely to their destination, and should have the authority over ALL (including law enforcement) to do so. I believe that any suspicious behavior should be questioned and not seen as a prejudice. Heck, I remember back in the 1960's when my father took me on my first jet plane ride, the 707. (dang, I guess I'm old) I was just a little girl, all dressed up in my best dress, little white gloves and all, my father bent down and whispered to me then. "Don't ever mention the word "bomb" or "hijack" or "Cuba" on a plane. I can still see him bending down to tell me that today. That was long before 9/11, and his advice had nothing to do with political correctness or prejudice, but more with common sense and the safety and comfort of our fellow passengers....ahhh, the good ole days, when flying was so civilized, and my father, who I adored, was still around.
