I don't want to burst your bubble, but QOL for a new hire might suck less than elsewhere, but it still sucks. Especially if you're on the bottom with no growth.
Because we have very little people on Reserve, it means you're more likely to be abused. There's very little flexibility if you're on reserve also and our reserve rules are horrible. If you live on the east coast, expect to commute out to a west coast base.
QOL of a new hire will differ based on whether you're on the front end or tail end of a hiring wave. My New hire experience was good, SWA was still growing and I was only on reserve for a couple of months. I'm sure if you ask our bottoms guys, their new hire experience was probably different. Years on reserve beats you down.
