I agree with the others that overall it looks real good when compared to other contracts. When compared to what Colgan has been operating under it looks like the holy grail and the Vince Lombardi Trophy wrapped into one.
Like others have mentioned I am disappointed with the dash 8 rates. Yes, it is a raise from where I am now, that is a fact. I was expecting CR2 rates and even then most were saying that the 74 seat dash 8 should be between the CR2 and the CR9 but in actuality the rate fell a good amount below the CR2 that most were expecting. The dash 8 is a very large part of the future for this pilot group and many will find their way into that plane as well as most upgrading CAs. The rates could have used a few dollars more to be "industry leading" in that specific airframe. As it stands it looks like looking at ONLY base pay at min guarantee I would see $311 more per month...not exactly enough for an offshore savings account. Next year at DOS +1 and after my anniversary date it would be a little bit better at around $7 more per hour then CJC rates now.
Dont get me wrong, I know as well as everyone else that actual pay rates are a very small fraction of a contract and what you get paid but on the other hand the pay rate is what I base my min guarantee base pay on.
On a side note since I am a little slow...I am on 4th year CA pay...am I looking at the 3-4 payscale? It would make sense since I have 3-4 years of service, I just want to make sure im not as stupid as I know I am.
