I always thought I'd do 8 AD, then go ANG/airlines (wanted to be a United pilot). However I earned my MBA (U of AZ in-residence) and am interested in management (gasp!). As a 1500-hour single-seat guy with an MBA, what's the forum's opinion on the best path to VP of Ops (ala Joe Kolshak)?
With a green MBA, the "best chance" would be to get your feet wet anywhere which displays your learned skills. This doesn't necessarily mean going anywhere near aviation, by the way. It may be better to come in with recs and a track record of success from outside the industry. Looking just at the airlines, you're severely limiting your options. Good luck.
