The big question is, will the North Mississippi Flying Club members eat ther own words, and admit that it was worth the patience. And respect the ones who stood strong against management to reject a crummy TA a year ago?
This argument really only holds water if you had looked into your crystal ball when TA 1 was voted on. Nobody here knew that XJ was going to be purchased. that purchase SOLELY is the reason for a better TA this time around. The need for a contract at least as good as XJ+ to get the XJ guys to vote yes. No new contract, no SLI, no moving jets, so in this case yes it was in management best interests. Lets face it, had we not bought Mesaba, management would still be dragging their feet, they wanted whipsaw between 9L and 9e and didn't give 2 flips about SLI, and our new TA (when we finally got one in 2012) without XJ in the mix would be just slightly better than TA1. Then the "yes" voters could say they have the same argument you are trying to make.
There is NO WAY you can tell someone who voted yes on TA 1 "see i told you so" when you did not have knowledge of the XJ purchase. And i voted no....
