My wife had a tough time figuring that out when I first started here...
Years ago, when flying back to Memphis from Europe, the captain asked for specific vectors, so that he could fly over his house. I think he was checking to see if the 4th Marine Division was still parked in his driveway.
I asked him about that arrangement and he said that as long as they cut the grass and left him a case of beer, he was a happy camper. Guess his wife liked the "arrangement" as well.
