You are wrong. Sometimes it is alpa that furloughs. It was alpa and paul whitford, with chuck pierce at his side, that caused over 1000 additional furloughs by negotiating super high hour lines and S&#T work rules to save his unsaveable A-fund. He then signed away big RJs with one pen stroke. Then alpa shoved age 65 up our a$$, against the wide majority of alpa pilots, without the courtasy of a reach around. Adding 5ish years to current furloughs without so much as a thought because that was prater's agenda item. Current furloughs would be largely over were it not for alpa, thus making them alpa furloughs. Yea, was it the company that sent out the furlough notices? Yes. Are a large number the a result of alpa actions. YES! Thus making them all alpa's.
Do I think JB and everyone else should be unionized. HELL YES.....but as much good as alpa has done in the past, they have done more harm this decade. The reason alpa continues to get away with this sh%t is people that don't put the proper blame at their feet. It is management's job to f&$k me over for an extra nickle. It is alpa's job to protect my career. Score the win for management last decade. Hopefully we can pull our alpa head out of our a$$ and make this decade better for the profession.
Pretty hard to argue with any of that. Spot on!
