But unless you hold a line, life is difficult. Very difficult. Don't even think about commuting on reserve you will be in airports 28 days a month. Seriously.
My advice is if there is a closer airline to work for. Work there. If you like your job currently and have time for friends and family then stay there. Only work at PSA if you need a job.
Upgrade will be in excess of 5 years no matter what next pilot shortage there will be.
Of course this is all my opinion and not the opinion of PSA or US Airways blah blah blah....
Being on reserve at psa will put me at home way more than I am now with 4 day trip lines at my current job. Right now I am home 3 days a week if I have luck. At psa I would be home more often. I found out really fast that qol is the most important thing
