Running off on a Red versus Blue argument tangent isn't something that should be allowed on this board, Ill give you that, but I'll stop short at saying discussing politics from time to time should be prohibited.

The airline industry is heavily intertwined with the direction the United States Government steers. The Government has a tremendous say in how the Airlines are regulated, fined, and overseen.
The economy is heavily dictated by the regulatory pressure and oversight from our Government. It would be impossible to not discuss the future of Delta without discussing the overall health of the American Economy.

Taking a Delta Pilot's Retirement money on behalf of a mismanaged Social Security program is about a relevant discussion to this board as they come.
