Default Greater international scope for 40% pay raise

Latest proposal from management is Southwest plus a few percent pay scale in exchange for liberal international scope. If this goes to vote it could pass. Mangement just says they want to add "a couple" of new joint ventures, code shares, alliances, etc, like they said they wanted to add "a few" 70 seaters. The plan is to bring these new "agreements" within the next 2 years as the retirements start - therefore no growth as all new international flying will be outsourced. Keep the 400s a few more years and then retire them and cancel wide body orders, shrink the airline to about 8000 pilots - makes for a great balance sheet. The pay raise saves the company a ton of money in the long run. Don't know what the verbage in the contract will look like, but read carefully. This could truly be the end of the profession.
