You are right, anyone that supported whitford on the mec has a share in the blame. That even includes some that were usually against Whiteford but then supported him and pierce taking negotiations away from the negotiating committee so they could be "expeditious in a fluid environment". What a crock of SH#T!!!

Yes, I blame the yes voters too, and I voted no(unlike the people that say they voted no but voted yes) but the ALPA NATIONAL Lawyers and our mec where telling people that we were out of time and had no options. Too many believed them. whitford had steered the negotiations and caught us in a corner with time against us. Fear won the vote.

Whhooaa.. Let state ALL the facts. ALPA poled us once and the pilots, by a wide majority, were against the change of age 60. Prater did not like that so the put out a directed poll and asked "IF age 60 changed would you rather have alpa participate so we might have a say in how it is implimented?." majority said " Uh, well I guess?? ". prater/alpa "See, the majority want it." They did it on purpose and let's not insult anyone's intelligence on how it went down. That is the FACT!!

Just my opinion.......

I pay alpa to do a job. Protect my career. Personal agendas and politics combined with incompetency made them an utter failure at that the last decade. Excusing them will only allow them to suck at their job for that much longer. Was that largely due to UAL mec and pilot votes? Yes, I agree 100%. alpa national/prater were the ones that shoved age 65 up our a$$.
