However, just to clarify, are you saying that if you live in base @MIA/HSV that it often happens that you're not gone for 17 days at a time? I know it's been said many times before about planning on 17 days away and you won't be disappointed, but I just wondered if you would share more of your insight on these bases.

You have to understand that
NOTHING is set in stone at Atlas. The trips out of HSV and MIA tend to be 3 and 4 day trips. You would go out to LUX and back or Mexico City, Guadalajara, HSV for example. If you live within an hour or two of HSV, then you could be home quite a bit. But you could also have your entire pattern change while driving to the airport and end up in Africa.
Yes, it has been said a lot but it never hurts to clarify this important point. If you can't handle being away for at least 17 days, then do the next guy a favor and don't take the job.
I truly think that our new contract will have some nice improvements, but we are still a global non-scheduled freight hauling company with many military contracts too. The good thing is that this characteristic keeps it all very interesting.
