Personally I think we are too lenient on certain crimes in this counrty. Maybe if we weren't people would think twice before commiting certain crimes.

Noone said his family should be thrown destitute into the streets. If his wife doesn't have any other skills than to raise kids and has depended solely on her husband to provide for her financially, well then I wouldsay she hasn't made a good decision. The biggest thing my mom taught me was not to depend on anyone financially except myself.
