This thread is stupid. Just take whomever says Yes first (or yes at all).
I was furloughed ATA. Had a SW interview (w/o the 737 type I might add) and was turned down. Hired at CAL. Shortly thereafter had a FDX interview who said yes and I ended up taking it.
Both are good outfits though both are far from perfect. Thankfully we both have unions, in-house or out-house, trying to make things better for us. There really ins't a great job left in this business. There used to be, ie flying for Pan Am in 1966 and flying for UAL in 1999. Since then, well, you just take what you can get and hope it's better than the commuters and/or military.
