I think that was when we learned how the "waterfall" gunsight worked in the MiG...and we have copied it to every fighter since. I believe we also copied their ideas for Helmet-Mounted sights from the MiG-29.
They've had helmet mounted cuing since I believe the 80's. I've still never flown with it.
