Well what about the 50 seaters? They are on the way out correct? Maybe all these new airplanes, though bigger, are their replacements? I mean they're not gonna replace the 200's and 145's with another 50 seater jet right? Not saying a C-series size aircraft should be flown by a regional, it should be flown by mainline. So, this is my thought. We at the regionals will be flying CRJ-700/900, and E-170s and MAYBE Q-400 type turboprops. I am of the opinion that the new United will not be able to cap the scope at 50 seats. Maybe something more like 70 or 76 seats. Similar to what Delta has. I pray that thats as high as it gets. I'm pretty sure that the union and its pilots will not let it go higher than this. C-series will go to mainline, if they come to be. This is just my opinion and I realize that everyone has their own. So, feel free to disagree. I know that people on this site get very sensitive about this.
