I'm not going to attempt to convince him. I'm the same way as you. My girlfriend and I non rev a bunch. We live in a major Delta hub and are flexible so we pick days to travel when the loads look favorable. I'd say we average almost a trip a month. Over the last 5 years I can count on one hand how many times we didn't get our first flight. Also, we are in first class almost all of the time. Yes we are flexible and we plan our destinations based upon what flights look favorable for getting on and getting first class but we have seen the world in style and I wouldn't trade that benefit for anything. It is priceless benefit to us. FedEx could offer me a job tomorrow at twice my salary and I would turn it down in a heartbeat. I still have 32 years until 65 if I want to go the distance so Delta is going to be a great ride for me and I will be my moneys worth out of my flight bennies. I think his "Righhhht" comment was just sour grapes or jealousy.
