If anyone could make the case for the "generation entitlement", it would probably include your statement about the chance to bid the upgrade. At times in Piedmont's history, the upgrade has happened as soon as the pilot has the required 3000 hours, as in 3 years or less. During other times, the upgrade opportunity did not come along for 7 or 8 years. Nothing screams "entitlement" more than someone opining about an upgrade that can't seem to happen fast enough. Them's the breaks of the airline industry...

What airline doesn't have a political situation, in some way, shape or form? Airlines have different issues, but not everyone has to "grasp" those politics in order to enjoy employment with an airline. Some folks would rather just keep moving along one day at a time, bid a schedule, fly a line, spend some time at home and get paid for a job well done. What do you hope to gain by coming on here with your fearmongering and dire forecasts of doom and gloom for all?

It is BECAUSE I DO CARE about others, that I have written recommendations for two people who have come to work at Piedmont. Both have had their share of challenges, but remain successful with the company. While you may choose to dissuade anyone from hiring on with Piedmont, I will continue to do what I can to make sure they are fully and accurately informed. In the end, it comes down to their own personal decision, a decision that they must then live with the results of. A decision of your own, in the way things have turned out during your years of employment with Piedmont, that you still haven't fully come to accept the results of.
