The company is trying to create good out of nothing. I believe according to federal law, at a non-union company like us, benefits are supposed to be equal for all the work groups. Basically pilots cannot have better benefits than FA or rampers over mechanics and so on. Therefore the PPO and 401k that they are proposing in the pay package will have to be offered to the entire company. Which means its not something special for pilots only, but they are sure presenting it that way.
