The 20 MD-88 surpluses in MSP might shake some things up a bit for some of the junior guys currently in training for their new ER/320 seats.
There are guys that bid MSP 88 when it first opened (Delta South guys looking to get into MSP & Delta North guys looking to get off the -9) that were then seat locked when all the MSP ER & 320 positions came available.
They will now be able to take a voluntary displacement into them being the bottom of the ER & 320 list's are so junior.
Keep in mind a voluntary displacement is only awarded if the pilot that would have been displaced can hold it. Add to that, with the positive movement elsewhere in this bid, I would be very surprised if anyone actually got displaced on this bid. The surpluses in those categories will be taken care of with pilots bidding up.
