There are guys that bid MSP 88 when it first opened (Delta South guys looking to get into MSP & Delta North guys looking to get off the -9) that were then seat locked when all the MSP ER & 320 positions came available.
They will now be able to take a voluntary displacement into them being the bottom of the ER & 320 list's are so junior.

This is from (long term) memory. I believe if you are moving "up the food chain" so to speak (a larger a/c) on a voluntary displacement you use the seniority of the pilot whose displacement you are using. In other words if he can't hold it, you can't use his displacement to get it.
