My only advise is...plan for the worst. Unless you are 40years old I'd say that below 25 years you should be planing for the ATR or other place far from home. Don't get me wrong I'm 23 and when was my time I had a couple of things to choose: EMB ORD, LGA CRJ or MIA & DFW ATR (but I'm almost 24 now and I started in Novemeber).The junior guy that pick the other EMB was 23 recently, all other guys below him got ATRs.

As you said, if you don't mind to fly anything that's the correct attitude. Cause I'd saw a couple of guys that where mad because they didn't have the jet.
