I had never heard of Sheppard Air till I saw it mentioned here on APC. I wish had know about them when I took the FEX a 4+ years ago; got a 85% back then, using some other web based software.
I downloaded the Mac software back when the first announcement came about the FDX window opening up, and over the following 4 days or so, studied it off and on. Got a 98% using their software! I only saw two questions that weren't on their prep but those were most likely the new FAA questions that don't count towards, or more important!, against you.
So...I'd certainly go with Sheppard Air, if I had to do it again, which I hope I won't. It is $75 (twice as much as some others online) but smaller question bank to study and one doesn't have to be online to use it. Great stuff!
