The issue is not whether the technology exists. It's who will pay for it, not to mention getting approval. With the pace that things move through are government I think it'll be a long time before it's even considered.
Gubbamint? Why would they pay for it?? The only thing they would have to do with it is approve it... The airlines can get rid of all of us overpaid prima donnas and hire a bunch of MS Flightsimulator whiz kids for ten cents on the dollar. They will be like Bobby Fischer at a chess tournament.. working several flights at the same time.. going joystick to joystick...
