They have 11 or so more coming for Delta

They are getting 12 700's from Comair
There is attrition with United pilots going back, plus pilots leaving elsewhere
The brasilia upgrade i have heard is almost 5 months
You add 38 more planes on top of that and that is at least 400 more pilots on top of what you already need
Growing too fast can cause growing pains, and it can also cause accidents like 3701
I hope your management knows that because you guys have had a good safety record.
If Skywest wins this flying there is nothing we can do to stop it, so I won't be bashing any skywest pilot that walks through the terminal becuase it is not his fault. In all honesty though, I really hope you guys don't get it because you have grown enough and its time for an ALPA carrier to get some growth.
There are very good points here about rapid growth, but SKW's recent hiring practices appear to reflect an effort to MASSIVELY stack their CRJ deck with ex-121 pilots who can qualify as CRJ captains immediately or within months. Why do you need people like that in the right seat? Other airlines use 200-600 hour wonders...somethings going on here.
But to me it still seems that the red-tail stuff is likely to stay where it's.
