Thanks guys. He was 23, our birthdays are a day apart. My granddad was an amazing guy as well. Flew B-24s with Jimmy Stuart in New Mexico for training, then went to India, flew supplies over the hump in the transport versions and in C-47s. Even adopted a local cat, made a small Oxygen mask for it, and it went on missions with him, then brought it home when his tour was done. I'm really proud of these guys, and all the others who paid with their lives. The 8th Air Force gets a lot of fame, but the B-29ers were just as important.
