Yes, we did and it was shut down.

Essentially, the MEC published a bulletin that said what I referred to in my post. The actions of a few had turned the forum into less of the information flow the MEC intended when it was established. Personal attacks, thread hijacks, etc. took over the site to the point where the MEC officers and representatives pretty much stopped posting.
