First and foremost - we look after the jobs of our UniCal brethren- active, furloughed and pooled (should we get to that point in the hiring process) - period.

Clearly, we would have some brotherly obligation to negotiate some sort of preferential interview as could be negotiated (not a guaranteed job by any means). I mean, honestly, as a result of the outsourcing that we've allowed (arguably forced through the corrupt bankruptcy process) we've absolutely hosed our own. We need to be far more concerned about taking care of those on the property and on the list before we even consider those on the outside looking in. JMHO, of course.

FWIW, if we're somehow miraculously able to do so within a relatively short effective timeframe (less than 7-10 years), I think that we'll have very little need to exert influence in the process. We'll be looking for the most qualified pilots to fill seats, and the RJ Captains will be a great fit for mainline pilot seats. No doubt there...
