Since it was only business and nothing personal when they accepted jobs flying for United Express carriers, it is nothing personal and only business when those positions go away. Live by the sword and die by the sword.

They can apply for a job and if competitive be welcomed with open arms at the bottom of the mainline list just like any other new-hire.

I would certainly accept a different process if a real flow-through/flow-back program existed, but offering 10-year furloughed United pilots jobs at the bottom of the Skywest or Go Jet list (even at 2nd year pay) certainly explains the relationship in black and white.
I was nodding my cranium in agreement with the posts preceding yours... UNTIL I read yours! You are dead right with this post. Although I'm not furloughed, I remember cringing with disgust at the explanation of why our guys couldn't 'flow back' into the left seat of the RJs -- totally different companies, different hiring processes/requirments, we don't control them, ect... I've gotta say that I agree with you.
