Here is a route that is exactly 15 miles you could do on bike. It s a fairly safe route during business hours. I would still take a phone, mace and if feasible a firearm, but I did this route many times without so much as a single scary encounter. Much of it has bike paths, all of it has road shoulders, and some of it has sidewalks. There is steady traffic on it and you are not alone.
