If you are correct and would be taking a 50% pay cut and are close to upgrading, I would say you had lost your mind if you go to a regional. Sure being on call sucks, and so does flying older aircraft, but you have to look at the big picture here. You are so much closer to CA than you would be if you moved to a regional. Now add to that, that you would likely be commuting (just a guess), have to be on reserve somewhere, be paid significantly less, at least tripling if not quadrupling your time to upgrade.. That TPIC time is your golden ticket, and if you went to a regional you would be stuck waiting even longer for it. Stay the course...Just my 0.02
