I went straight up the APC longevity pay rates for all of the airlines (Great Lakes, RAH and Delta), did the same with the old Delta contract 2000 rates. Those higher DAL rates are not % increases pulled out of a hat, it's simply the rates negotiated over a decade ago when MD88 FO's made more than WB Captains do now. I don't have access to DAL's post 2012 rates as those haven't been negotiated nor do I have Lakes or RAH's. So I just went straight up.

No matter how desperate you are, you need to be willing to make more as a greeter at WalMart than to allow people to make money off of your crap wages.
You're slumming no matter where you are in the RJ industry as an FO. How long do you want to live with that pay is the question?
I was at XJT in early 2000, our pay was not puny in nature but punitive. If you were still an FO after 2 years that is your own fault and here is our collective middle finger from the senior pilots, union and management. B1900D, E120 and ATR upgrades were right at a year and getting less and less. I held ERJ Captain at a 1.5 and would've gone Captain at 2 years.
I found out from a union buddy that I held ERJ CA while watching MNF, slept in the next morning and woke up to both WTC towers burning. Needless to say, I didn't upgrade for 4.5 years even though we expanded like gangbusters at CAL's expense but also with 600 pilots from CAL.
There is no telling what can happen. What happens to RAH if UCAL adopts CAL's scope? There won't be any room at DAL unless you can force Comair, ASA and Skywest's 70+ seaters out which won't happen because most of those carriers will be reeling from the loss of UAL 70+ seat flying. And what if that inspires DAL pilots to follow suit?
But if things stay as is, I'd go to Great Lakes and position myself as best I can for DAL- job fairs come to mind and updating not just submitting ones resume. The A320 will be just as much fun to fly as the E175 and depending on whats going on when hired you could find yourself as many of us did as a new hire in a 767 flying international.
WORTH IT
