True enough. But as I've said, the most important part of this interview with Moak was his comments about ALPA national's highest priority with regard to collective bargaining. I won't re-post it because I'm sure you read it. Many of the ALPA stalwarts here have consistently said that we are to blame regarding Scope. The locals negotiate everything and national is only there to help facilitate with their expert staff the achieving of whatever the local's goals are. Moak's comments are a clear rebuke of that myth.
This is extremely important because it shows that we may have to fight national as hard as management. Depending upon what national thinks is for the greater good of our industry. This is the main reason I support going to an independent union. I want our union to be comprised of only Delta pilots...so we can spend our energies fighting one opponent - not two.
