This is PURELY because of supply and demand. And the AMA does an excellent job of controlling that. Ever read how hard it is to get into medical school. Why is that. Because the AMA sets the standards that they must pass to get in. And limits the slots available.
Hey Walt, here is the scary part that the general public does not know. Nurses must graduate with a 2.5 GPA. Doctors, while excellent grades are required to get in Medical School, a 1.0 GPA to graduate. Granted they still have to pass boards, but then they do Residency in some small town literally DYING to get Doctors and about 5 years later, they are treating the rest of us. Please do not try to debate this. I KNOW. Just for informational purposes.
