It will be a waste of money, IMO.

Additional flight instructor ratings or multi-time would produce more value in terms of employment opportunity. Unless you're being offered a job contingent on having a type rating (i.e. SWA), I'd pass. If you do pursue the course, be aware that you'll have a PIC-restricted rating until you get IOE and at least 25 hours in type. So ask yourself, what good is a type rating that you can't use.
