Delta interested in Airtran 717s??
Talked to "someone" at the lounge in one of our "big" hubs and he stated Delta may be interested in the Airtran 717s if Southwest is not. Apparently Airtran does not own the planes, a lessor does. I have read on here that Airtran may have a fragmentation policy about the 717 pilots going along with the planes if they were to "fragment" away, and I also know Boeing still has those 25 717s available from Mexicana's Click LCC. I also know Saudia has 29 MD90s with MD11 cockpits but MD88 overhead panels. So, can someone on here speculate what may happen next, and maybe connect the dots. I wonder what the opinions are out there about these rumors.
