First of all I do not think dues should be taken out of the profit sharing check but, to be fair and answer your question, due to the fact that ALPA is our collective bargaining agent and negotiated profit sharing as part of our contract then, yes, they they are responsible for us being able to get a profit sharing check.
As far as the second point goes, have you ever heard of the unwritten "me too" clause?
