fyi I'm not a rah supporter but I don't support a BS claim either.... I don't think many rah guys like it anymore then we do either. But mainlines need to fix scope!!!!
You are right mainline does need to fix scope which I hope the JCBA does. And if the scope does get improved or fixed resulting in a loss of regional jobs, can I assume there will be no bit&^%$ing about the loss of regional jobs.
When I was hired prior to the age 65 deal I had reasonable expectations. But when an entire fleet is parked resulting in a massive furlough yet regional feed increases by 14% then I say yes my job was outsourced and is being currently flown by regional pilots.
Are they the only ones to blame? No, there is plenty of blame for many different groups. But as long as they are willing to fill the bottom end of the pipe for low wages then management will go to extream measures to take advantage of those cheap wages. For example the 70 seaters using CO code in IAH violating thier scope, management response was to simply change it to UA code when challenged.
