Was in MEM on Sunday afternoon and several diverse crewmembers were debating the TA. Joe Fagone arrived and commented the 1% bonus is 1/3rd of the 3% pay raise for time period of Nov 10 to Mar 11.
I personally am waiting to hear more from the MEC about this agreement. The only thing I know for sure is the reality that the Company WILL NOT move forward until FAA speaks in August 2011. Do we wait or do we take 3% and get paid to wait? Did we give away too much with the FDA? This seems to be what the company really wants. My brother-in-law was a mid level manager for a Fortune 200 company and his international package for Thailand and Saudia was far better than what we have.
As others have mentioned, ASAP and FOQA should not cost us any bargining capital.
For those wishing to "send a message" I ask you have you flown any M/U or carry over to help the Companie's cause and your own pocket book during 4a2b? Sadly, until this crewforce developes a set of balls we will always get sloppy seconds rather than what we deserve. When is this crewforce going to understand what power and value we have to control our futures. For now the battle cry continues to be I'VE GOT MINE TO HECK WITH ANYONE ELSE.
