Try USAA or join Costco. The Subaru dealer actually told me about the Costco buying service. Ended up going with Toyota, also through Costco. Very painless--no muss, no fuss. First question from the authorized rep: "Can I see your Costco card?" Second question: "Would you like to see your program cost?" [Dealer invoice minus a tad] Next: "Do you know which model you want, with what accessory package?" [Yes] Finally: "Go pick out one of those from the lot in the color you like, then I'll get the key so you can do a test drive. Can I get a copy of your driver's license and insurance card?" Took it for a spin, came back to do paperwork, and was out in less than an hour and a half, some of which was them washing the car, followed by the salesman giving me a safety checkout on the bells & whistles & switches. Do your research ahead of time and let them know your time is at a premium. Good luck.
