If you have lived outside the USA for over the specified period of time, it becomes exceedingly expensive to do an FBI background check. FedEx hiring practices in the past have heavily favorited the military guys. Please tell me that EVERYONE of the ex-mil hires on your seniority all lived 5 years consecutively in the U.S. just before getting picked up at FedEX. None of those guys were based over-seas somewhere with the AirForce?

So, this is more of a rule they made up to discriminate against civilian pilots.

I call bogus. I call Johnny Cochran.
