The push for EEO is back on like it or not, however the competition is so fierce for each pilot seat that the quality of each airman, EEO or not doesn't need to be compromised. I don't think that Fedex hires any more military pilots than any of the legacy carriers did years ago. Twenty years ago there was a lot of military hiring, guys that had 'put in their 20' and went to work for an air carrier. Once they learned the 121 operation, these pilots were some of the finest I have ever had the pleasure of signing off, and that goes for most of the women. I do have two civilian buddies at Fedex, one MD-11 Captain, one 777 Captain, so there is a mix, have some faith in the system.
