You start the reserve month with 70 credit hours. So 5 hours of greenslip would terminate the payback day? The benefit of flying on days off on reserve is that you are getting paid in addition to the 70 credit hours.
There was a time when you did get 2X pay on reserve and if you flew on you days off, you got them paid back. That was the original rolling thunder. That lasted about 3-4 months.
The 5 hours of GS is pay only, NO CREDIT. Reserves on "rolling thunder" can make 30-50 hours of pay and earn 100+ hours of
pay, but end up having little to no "credit" for the month.
