Last time I checked, they give you all the writtens in ground school at some point in time, either through the gouges or the day before the instructor goes through them.
Prepare for an oral, study flows through indoc as that should be the easiest test. I think a few days of flows before sim would work fine, just have an IDEA of what to do, they WILL work with you on those! My personal suggestion is to know the autopilot buttons as best as you can! Also, 1/2 your pph will give you an exact airspeed! EXAMPLE - 1000 pph per side = 200 KIAS. Best gouge ever! Add about 200 pph for flaps! 65% N1 on an ILS works pretty dam* good as well! EMB's kick a**! Have fun!
