I have a student who was charged with marijuana possesion and the case ended up getting dismissed. Is he going to have trouble getting an airline job? I want to give him advice but also don't want to lead him on a carreer path to no where. I think the charge was 7 years ago at 20 years old. He is starting his comm rating and if that is the only thing tarnishing his record will he not get hired?
The charge will appear on his record so he'll have to discuss it but I don't see this as a road-block. Particularly because this happened at a young age, prior to him becoming a professional in this field.
