This is what a lot of guys do. FOs are allowed to sit in the left seat if they're flying with an IOE Check Airman, otherwise no.

Unfortunately, you can't fix stupid. There are a handful of Captains here who should NOT be working here. I've really only flown with 2 that need to get their stuff in check. I consider it babysitting the Captain.

And feltf4, you may want to get an attitude check. The FOs out in the Midwest bust their asses just as much as anyone else at the company. It must be nice to sit up there in the northeast, make your 35 min, and not have to work when the weather's crappy. Have fun with your $16,380 pre-tax though.
